It is a miserable truth that I swallow as a bitter pill each time I reminisce. Yes, I am yet in love with the memory of being loved. It is but a pathetic compromise, since I can no longer have the love of the one who loved me, for she loves another and is loved in return.

Sometimes we fall in love not so that we may be loved in return, but so that we may understand something about ourselves, about life, and about this journey ahead. We know that everything happens for a reason. Maybe you did not realise the love of the one that loved you, because she was only destined to feel for you and not to let it go any further. Maybe it was her season to feel things she had not felt before, her season to learn and grow and appreciate life. Maybe you were destined not to realise her love so that she may realise other things about life. She is now happy with someone else, the one who she was destined to be with. But no doubt that when she loved you, she must have learnt a lot that she can now take into her new relationship. When someone loves another, the one being loved teaches them a thousand things without ever realising…
I believe that sometimes loving someone is not about wanting to achieve the destination, but it is about the journey you embark upon. Sometimes the journey is much more valuable than the destination. Its a life long lesson.

This shows how much you have learnt through falling in love. Falling in love taught you about all sorts of feelings. The first time we fall in love its exciting, naive, vunerable… but as we go through life we learn so much about love and about life and ourselves. You have learnt things like to know how to recieve love in the future, to know what it is that your heart is searching for. These are things that someone who has never fallen in love wouldn't know yet.. love truly is a journey about realisation…. well it was for me anyway. Just my thoughts which were triggered by your post. I hope it made as much sense in this post as it did in my mind! lol.
