She barely touches her drink, speaks or does much else than stare out of the huge window into the parking lot just past the pavement and its beautiful red tiles. She has always been a mystery and not because I fancy her appearance. She has an ordinary face and an ordinary figure -much like mine- but there is an extraordinary quality about her. I know not who it is she loves or who it is she is loved by, but she carries an aura of longing and desire that cannot be described in words.

There is no knowing what the future holds – for ANY of us.

I don't agree that there are leagues – at all. I don't create boundaries (as much as I am consciously aware of..) – age, location, looks, other useless biodata, etc… it always seems to me that other people do… and I don't push those who create these boundaries, because it is not worth the hassle. They have to break free themselves, and they have to know to break free themselves, without others' intervention. Or maybe others' intervention is OK, but still… so I don't agree when you say you have to stay within your league. Not just with regards to myself or other members in here, but in general.

Also in general, i.e. not relating to love in particular, why should we settle for enough when we can enjoy the pursuit of 'more'? If 'enough' is what one wants from life, I am no one to argue with that, but if I personally had a choice between 'enough' and 'more'… why ever would I not strive for 'more', if that is what I want? And yes – I think 'want' is a good enough reason for chasing the tiniest of things.

Lying in the shadow of death, I realized that my life was ensnared in a downward spiral. I once fantasized about people eulogizing me at my funeral, and imagined them saying great things about me.
