btw WOW rani, great pics! I absolutely lub the dress she's wearing. Is that available to buy..? I like that it's glamorous yet very modest aswell, (which I kinda think defines Rani Mukherjee in general Big Smile)

Anyway, I have seen Baabul and I loved the climax. That was the most heartwrenching scene in the movie…

I completely agree, I think it was the climax that turned the whole dynamic of the film from a typical love triangle just-about-staying-awake film to a heart-wrenching tale about the poor father who only wants the best for his kids. I was THIS close to rating it a dire 2/10 before the climax scene, but amitabh's lil speech and the whole justification of it all rounded it off to a nice 8/10. Big Smile

Wow ramz, you really had a fantastic time at wedding and thanks for a satisfactory report *wink*
You are right turkish music is pretty good.. Heard about tarkan or mustafa sandal?
Ever been in turky?? I went there last summer in marmaris such a nice place, great food, great people.. gotta try it!
Actually I'm thinking about going there again this summer.. or pakistan.. maybe both..

Those tunes are nice but you should try and listen to Mahiya ve soniya (soul mix), O re piya (trance mix), Maula.. *wink*

Nooo unfortunately I haven't been to turkey yet but definitely some time in the future iraada to hain, it seems like such an amazing country. Plus everywhere just food waiting to be eaten *drooool*….however this summer i'm setting my sights on pakistan aswell, it's my longest absence yet! Pakistan is calling out to me hehe

Hmm Mustafa Sandal i've heard about him vaguely from my turkish friend, I think I heard a track or two aswell possibly it's him who sings the doody song that I like….. I'll research and report back! Will give ur tunes a listen, thanks for the tips Wink

The wedding…it was amazing! The bride's dress was absolutely stunning, completely white encrusted with Swarovski crystals. It was interesting to see how different the culture is to the Pakistani/Indian/Hindu traditions (which are all interwoven and share many between them). While at any wedding I had attended previously you'd see everyone going crazy to some bhangra or bollywood dance tune, here there were the AWSOMEST arabic/turkish/persian tunes (I really couldnt tell the difference lol) and the dancing..!..oh the dancing, all the girls had some sort of belly wiggle hair flicking thing going on which just looked so graceful and just downright cool! They played Haifa's songs non-stop (an amazing arabic singer) god shes brilliant, and I didn't get the name of the artist but one song got everyone going crazy on the dancefloor, I have no idea what the words are but it starts off 'wooo wooo wooo, wooo wooo woo oo oo' in this doody tune that I am ready to sing for anyone cz its just awesome! I could go on forever hehe but i won't Big Smile

Atif Aslam rocks! I really don't have to say much more. I prefer Doorie…..but Tere Bin has got to be his best so far Wink

    sigh…

I feel like running to a yellow field somewhere, early in the morning, and crying… just sobbing away…

the tears may not be coming out, but i HATE it when it feels as though someoneis literally pulling at my heart…. LITERALLY… sigh.

Does my head look big in this?-Randa Abdel- Fattah (I know for a fact that no one has read it coz I made a thread to comment on it and no one replied:P) The orientation of the book is teenage-style but you'll find the author has just cleverly structured her take on difficult-to-express issues.

Dan Brown…his little collection of books…I've only read “The Da Vinci Code' and 'Angels and Demons' but i've heard great reviews about 'Digital Fortress'. Another book of his is 'Deception Point' if anyone wants to check that out and feedback to us:D He uses a similar style throughout his books so if you like one, you'll like them all Wink
