Nosyira – lovely song indeed… I reckon I'm going to like the songs you post up… I fell in love with Maula Mere and Javeda Zindagi… and now this one! ![]()
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
There is no life – no life without its hunger;
Each restless heart beats so imperfectly;
But when you come and I am filled with wonder,
Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up: To more than I can be.
Scarz… lovely. š
I think Kannathil was released in 2002… so about 5 years old? lol…
The film is about a girl's quest to find her biological mother, who is in Sri Lanka… set against the backdrop of the war between Tamil Tigers and Sri Lanka, I think? I think the Tamil Tigers want a part of Sri Lanka, or something… I don't know what and don't take my word for it, lol. Anyway, the specifics of the war are not important in the film, but more the effect war has on humans, etc… anyway, if you google for the film reviews, you will find out…
I can't remember if I've seen it or not either… such a long time ago… I don't know how or why – I just re-discovered this song the other day… I think on youtube, where it has “related videos” hmm… aaaanyway! Even if I did, I want to re-watch.. can't remember if I watched it with subs or not…
Other good Tamil songs? Check out the soundtrack of 'Anniyan'… it KICKS BUTT. Seriously, it does…. not a clue what they are saying, but the tunes are amazing… and there must be some others I know… which I have forgotten….

Oh Sukumari is my personal favourite… well, for the moment it is – they are all good… really!
RaNi iS ThE BeS:
ummm…I have a question, but it's not about me, so yeah, don't think it is.
Suppose you THINK you like a guy, or you MIGHT like him or you ALREADY do…and suppose he flirts with you and messes with you and says things like “I love you” a lot…and he seems like he's serious…how do you find out if he's really serious without talking to him about it?
– once again, it's not about me.
tanku
Why does she want to find out? Why not let things be?
Khushi ji… please check your PMs… ![]()
I know you will be caught, my dear Khushi…

I cannot get the “nen jil jil jil jil jil… kaadhil dhil dhil dhil dhil…” part out of my head!! What a beautiful song… NOT A CLUE what it is saying, but… I know “Kannathil Muthamittal” means “a peck on the cheek” or something like that… ![]()

Yeah.. the same happens to me… I think it is because there are too many people going on the site than the site can handle…? I am not sure though… usually, I just log on afterwards, when it does work…
Has this been happening since a long time, Tayba? 'Cos it was for me…
OK⦠here is my perception of it⦠it may be wrong, but this was how I understood the text⦠I found some parts a little too difficult to understand.
PERCHANCE he for whom this bell tolls may be so ill, as that he knows not it tolls for him; and perchance I may think myself so much better than I am, as that they who are about me, and see my state, may have caused it to toll for me, and I know not that.
The church is Catholic, universal, so are all her actions; all that she does belongs to all.
In the olden days, when the bell tolled, it was to announce a death⦠or nearing a death, or something⦠Donne is saying, āMaybe the guy for whom this bell tolls is so ill, he doesnāt realise the bell is tolling for him, and signalling his death. And maybe I think I am feeling better than I actually am, and those who have seen me know actually how ill I am, and have made the bell toll for me (i.e. signalling my death), and I donāt know that. The church is Catholic, universal, and so are all the churchās actions⦠everything the church does ābelongsā to everyone.ā
When she baptizes a child, that action concerns me; for that child is thereby connected to that body which is my head too, and ingrafted into that body whereof I am a member.
āWhen the church baptizes a child, that action concerns me too, because that child who is being baptized, I am also a part of ā connected to that body which is my head too, and ingrated into that body whereof I am a memberā
And when she buries a man, that action concerns me: all mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated; God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice;
āAnd when the church buries a man, that action concerns me too: all mankind is the same/universal/that sort of meaning⦠of one author, and is one volume⦠i.e. there are no different authors, we (mankind) have been penned down by only one person, and there are no different volumes that this author has written, it is only one book⦠one volume⦠and when one man dies, it is not as though a chapter of the book has been torn out (relating to earlier metaphor of how all of mankind has been penned down by one author in one volume), but it is instead translated into another language⦠literally, I perceive it as: when a man dies, he does not just fade out of the equation, but instead has an afterlife of sorts⦠which is better than the current life on Earth⦠translated into a better languageā¦ā
and every chapter must be so translated; God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice;
and he says āevery chapter must be so translatedā, which I perceived as: everyone must die, and go on to this other world, this afterlife (be it heaven, whatever. Whatever your perception of afterlife is, I guess), we must all get ātranslatedā into this better language&
Rani – I don't think I WILL post up any thoughts regarding your proof… in any case, most of my thoughts lead to a blank in my mind… like a “I need to think about this some more” kind of blank… š
As for what Khushi said – there seems to be more of an interest in getting a 'spiritual' connection with God than a 'religious' connection – if you guys get what I mean? Not everywhere, not all the time, but more and more people seem to be going down this route? What do you guys think? What is it like where you live/in the community you are in?
Like, some people say “I don't have a religion, but I do believe there is a God within me, in my mind and soul. That is my God.”…
I am curious to know what you guys think – feedback please? ![]()
*splutter*
Well, that's not really too hard to imagine huh? hehe… *giggle*

gossamer:
hey Scar face,
here's something I owe u.
do you dream of me?
Do you dream of me?
Do you wish to see
My eager face
Delicate as lace?
Do you wish to hold
Me in your arms so strong?
Can you honestly say
You wouldnāt comb the bay
Run a thousand miles
Call out a million times
Fly the highest skies blue
Wake with the morningās dew
Just to find my hand with yours
Just to be with me for many hours?
Donāt you think of me now
And wonder thoughtfully how
I got you where I want you
Right where I want you to say āI doā
