They are making movies based on the Hunger Games trilogy!! So excited. Will have to re-read the books before the movie releases.

I just finished reading Dennis Lehane’s series based on two PI’s Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro. Gotta say, the last book “Moonlight Mile” wasn’t as good as the other. I think “Darkness Take My Hand” and “Gone Baby Gone” are my fav two novels in the series.

Not reading anything atm, trying to figure out what genre I want to read next.

So I watched Bodyguard yesterday. What a waste of time! The story had so many holes, several songs felt out of place, the acting wasn’t anything special. Overall, the movie left me frustrated and unimpressed.

I do not recommend this movie!!

Haha Boo, that’s awesome. I love watching re-runs, they crack me up, even if I’ve seen the episode a couple times. The Hween episode was on TV a few days ago, love Gloria’s “American” accent lol! Claire and Gloria are both pretty hot for being moms.

Happy Halloween to all, hope it was full of tricks and treats =).

Okay, so I heard a lot of good stuff about the movie “Love, Sex, aur Dhoka” but was didn’t think it was my type of movie. I thought it would be a typical sleazy Bollywood movie, with a poor screenplay, sub-par acting, and full of “item songs” or raunchy videos. Boy was I wrong! This movie just proves that one should never judge a book by its cover, or a movie by its title!

If you enjoy different-ish Bwood movies, something that hasn’t been seen or tried before, I recommend this movie. The story is surprisingly very engrossing, and all the characters feel real and relatable. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie, and glad I didn’t miss out on it. 🙂

So I’ve been in a old movie phase for the last little while. Watched “Kati Patang” last night, and just re-watched “Amar Prem” (thank you YouTube!). The end never fails to get me bawling. I think this movie was able to effectively juxtapose the so called respectable society with the social outcasts. It displayed the hypocrisy of society, how people are judged based on things like their profession, their position, their class, etc., but fail to really understand that all this can be superceded by personal connections and emotions. I love Sharmila Tagore in this movie, think it was one of her finest performances. Her feelings can be conveyed through a single glance, her pain can be felt through her unsaid words. Also, the songs in this movie are simply outstanding. The despair and loneliness is palpable in “Chingari Koi Bhadke,” and the injustices hurtled by society can be felt in “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge”.

It was great to finally watch a few GOOD movies. Sometimes I get tired of watching fluff movies that seem to be coming out with more regularity. It was nice to watch one that really tugs at the heartstrings and makes you think.

Oops Boo, didn’t see your post, hope your exam went well!

I dedicate this beautiful song to the Late Jagjit Singh

    Raat gayi, kar tara tara
    raat gayi, kar tara tara
    hoya dil da, dard adhaara
    raat gayi, kar tara tara

    Akhan hoyian hanju hanju
    akhan hoyian hanju hanju
    dil da sheesha paara paara
    hoya dil da, dard adhaara
    raat gayi, kar tara tara

huun ta mere do hi saathi
huun ta mere do hi saathi
    ek hauka, ek hanju khaara
    hoya dil da, dard adhaara
    raat gayi, kar tara tara

    Marna chahya, maut na aayi
    Marna chahya, maut na aayi
Maut vi mainu, de gayi lara
    hoya dil da, dard adhaara
    raat gayi, kar tara tara

I’ve watched the first four episodes of season 3. Once you start dling and watching whenever you want, it gets kinda hard to go back to watching your fav shows once a week lol. I love MF, the show just keeps getting better and funnier.

1 – 2 kbps? That is pretty ridiculous lol, good luck with that! When I downloaded GG, I found a torrent that had all seasons in one file. It was great, about 60ish gbs for all 7 seasons, and it was done in downloading in about a week. I believe I found it through kickasstorrents.com, don’t know if you want to check it out or not.

So sad to hear about his demise. Was truly one of the great ghazal singers.

I enjoy many of his songs, but especially “Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar,” “Tum Itna Jo Muskara Rahe Ho,” “Hoton Se Choo Lo” and “Mainu Tera Shabab.” Beautiful voice, and great songs. Esp his voice paired with Shiv Kumar Batalvi’s lyrics.

Last movie I watched was “Daag,” the old version with Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore, and Rakhi. Always awesome to re-watch a classic :). Not really sure what movies will be coming out in the next couple months, so not looking forward to anything in particular.

So I was supposed to send an email to someone, but mistakenly sent it to another person as well. Damn!!! Not very professional lol. Felt like Gloria from Modern Family: “Where is the email?! It sended!! Make it come back!”

Love Modern Family, makes me laugh when I’d normally be frustrated.

No, I’ve been too lazy to download the third season lol. Think I should watch the episodes before they start piling up though. I know what you mean, all these videos take up a lot of space! I usually just burn them onto DVDs or store them on my external hard drive.

I definitely recommend Frasier! It is such an underrated and intelligent comedy. I haven’t seen all the seasons, but watch re-runs on TV when I can. Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce are the stars of the show, love them both!

    A small clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISIsij0szN8&feature=related

I’ve been watching clips on YouTube, and now I want to start the show from the beginning! What to do?

The characters ARE lovable! Usually, when I watch a TV show I find a character or two that I don’t really like, but in Modern Family, I loveee all them all! Each character is funny and quirky, and I can’t decide which couple I like more. To be honest, I initially thought Gloria was a gold digger too, lol this show is breaking down all sorts of stereotypes :p

Yeah, I am lucky to be able to have time off. Getting kinda antsy now though, wanna get back into the thick of things! Watch, once it all starts up again, I’m gonna be calling for some time off. a

Aw, I hate being sick. (think everyone does). Try to stay hydrated, I prefer hot/warm beverages as they can be soothing on the throat, and get some rest. A good nights sleep can work miracles. Hope you feel better hun :).
