Aish says that this movie Provoked is based on a true story.The story moves around a Punjabi girl named Kiranjeet Ahluwalia.She leaves for London to marry a person of her choice who lives there.
However,after the marrige,circumstances change,and she is compelled
to kill her husband.Thus she goes to jail.Jagmohan Mundhra’s directing and Dr.Murali is producing it.
