i went onto a topic, clicked on the REPLY button above someone’s post, and made my signature the way i wanted it, with the fonts and colours and the whole works. then i clicked on the ‘HTML’ icon which is underneath that window i was writing in, which made all the text into HyperTextMarkupLanguage (or at least, thats what i think it is… with all the ”s and stuff…). i simply copied and pasted that onto my signature, and it worked!

oh oh!!!! remember that exam i took like 1-2 months ago? The exit exam? The one i said if i fail it, i wont be able to pass high school? Well EVERYONE got their results except me!!! I was going crazy! Even my twin got his and i didn’t get mine! Then like a night ago i was telling my sis i was hekka worried about it and she was like oh urs came too! I was like what? when? she was like the day ur twin got his! I was like how come no one told me!??! They were all looking at his and no one even bothered to tell me mine had come! I was pissed! But then i was soooooooooooooooo happy cuz i passed it!!! I did way better on the math section than i thought i did and the English part was awesome! as for the HTML code: yes it does work on the HTML code (using either ” or ‘[]’ as i mentioned above… lol ), but because i cant remember all of the HTML code from the old forum (and because i think it is slightly different…), this was what i did.

i went onto a topic, clicked on the REPLY button above someone’s post, and made my signature the way i wanted it, with the fonts and colours and the whole works. then i clicked on the ‘HTML’ icon which is underneath that window i was writing in, which made all the text into HyperTextMarkupLanguage (or at least, thats what i think it is… with all the ”s and stuff…). i simply copied and pasted that onto my signature, and it worked!

i think thats the easiet way so far, cos u dont have to remember any of the HTML code and u can get it how u want! hope that helps u and anyone else who’s having probs…

About the marriage thing… Christians marry just the same way as atheists, because they also get their rings in the town hall and sign the book there, not in church… Well they can choose to give the rings in church, but they’re not actually marrying in church, so they also sign the book in the town hall. They “only” ask God to bless their marriage, and for that they go to church. So I don’t think there is much difference. Well, not in Holland anyways…

Aarti was good I remember when I was little in India, I use to hear the call for Namaz (they have it on a loud speaker) and then around the same time we had the evening Aarti at the Mandir. ahhhhh khushi good to see i make u laff… or at least good to see u posting nice stuff about me to cheer me up even though they aint true!

haaaa, no Bolly doesnt happen in real life, but there are certain things in bolly i can relate to. hence Bollywood is Boo’s Bible. the other day, same time as my koi ladki hai obsession… i was listening to pyaar kar. and it just brought back a FLOOD of memories…

there was one verse that really expressed my feelings a couple of years back… i still remember going to BWL, and looking at the lyrics and translations, and thinking about how much they reflected my feelings. and listening to that song was somewhat poignant/nostalgic… more nostalgic though again. cos it reminded me of the ‘good old days’ on BWL, as well as my purple file, where i used to print out all the Bolly lyrics and put them in there. so i could look back on them. it felt strange, getting that file out from the dusty area again… and wiping off all the dust. (lol) on the front, there was a picture of me and someone else dancing when we were youngggggggg… hence all the more nostalgia … and just looking through the file and seeing all the songs i printed out from BWL… it was just one of those ‘moments’… ya know? i was so glad i found BWL… finally a place to find those darned translations LOL! and it just reminded me of those days when i used to go mad listening to hindi songs, loving them and being able to find and store translations for them. i printed them straight from the website, so it still looked kinda like a web page… ahhhh the NOSTALGIA!!!! and that reminded me of what u said… i know bolly isnt a good reflection of real life, but (as i was telling someone yesterday) there are certain aspects and little points to it that just go straight to your heart. that was how i first started loving Bollywood…

i mean, i knew people who liked Bollywood, and i did go to the cinemas to see it with them. but it was nothing more that Indian Films to me at that time. i liked them, sure, but i never was so passionate about them. but there was one movie that just went straight to my heart. and made me cry for the first time in a Bolly movie ( the SHOCK… !!). and it was from then on i started to get more and more into Bollywood, and it was after that obviously, i found this site.

Hey everyone! I have a little announcement to make. I am leaving this forum. It is not because of the members! So don’t even think that is my reason. Not even for a second! I love you all a lot! I am truly grateful that I met all of you. You are all wonderful people and this forum has made a place for itself in my heart. This forum means a lot to me. It has made me laugh, cry, sing, dance, and it has given me lots of wonderful memories. Memories that will always be with me. Memories of the amazing members. I would log onto this forum when I was having a bad day, and one post, just one post from someone, would make my day. The members of this forum are absolutely amazing! How can people care so much for someone they have never met? I don’t know. But that’s exactly what the members of this forum do. They give without asking for something in return. They give you so much joy that you wish you knew that person in reality. Unfortunately, not all of the members have been able to meet each other in real life. Some members, however, have had this chance, and they are indeed lucky people. This forum was like a different world to me. It replaced all my worries, stress and sorrow with tranquility and happiness. It was an escape from the harsh reality of life. And I am extremely grateful that I found this forum, or rather, this forum found me, and the members that make it all the more special.

My reason for leaving is something personal. I’m sorry that I cannot share it with all of you. However, it is not because of a depression in my life. Alhamdulilah, life is just fine. So don’t worry about me at all. I don’t think it is possible for me to leave this forum forever. I don’t even know if I can actually go away…and I don’t know how long I will be gone. But I do know that I will come back one day, I’m just not sure how far away that day is, or if I will be alive to see that day. Maybe I will come back within a week because I couldn’t take it anymore! Haha. That would be amusing. But never mind that, I will come on to check the posts and see what’s going on around here, I just won’t post. However, I will post if I think it is absolutely necessary to do so. Of course I won’t post just to tease someone, so you guys don’t have to worry about me matchmaking you with someone. Haha.

Hey Boo!!! nazi is doing great!!!! we met up at the beginning of this month, spent the whole day together!! we went for lunch and then we went to c Fanaa together and then we went shopping, we went for a walk thru a park n then to her house. we took sooo many photos and lil videos!!!!!! it was amazin!!!!!!!!!!!

I talk to Roshini often aswell, she is also doing great!!!!!!!! She had a baby boy last month Mashallah everythin went well n hes a healthy baby and they’ve named him Saahil!!!! She’s a mum now!! so as u can imagine she’s really really busy!!! the day that me n nazi met up we made a video in the park saying congratulations and stuff and I sent it to roshini, she loved it!!

Dulhan and Chooriya r also doing great!! chooriya got married a few months ago, they r both coming to London next month so hopefully we’ll be meeting each other and our families should be meeting too Inshallah.

It suprises me to how little it takes for a person to loose faith in everything I mean something can hapened even if its little and right away you can loose hope. I agree with you, one can be very disappointed if you meet an internet friend in real life, but one can also be happier and everything too…I only ever met one person off the internet in real person and our homiedom only got better after it. Like it was awkward meeting him and being around him, and a couple weeks after when we would talk on the computer again was weird but then after that it just got alot better. I agree it is much easier talking to someone on the internet than in person, usually anyway, cuz you have your bubble like you dont have to worry what they think of you since you dont have to face them, but I think meeting can be kinda tope too. Im like that too, shy in person, wouldnt be able to make a convo or anything probably make an idiot of myself, but i think it’d be okay. Um it does make you skinnier, but it is incredibly dangerous and scary…It’s actually a really serious disorder. When you make yourself vomit, the acid from the food wears down your teeth and can damage your esophagus…i think those are just a few of the complications.

Kavita I think you need to look at the big picture a little bit. Weight is jsut a superficial thing…it doesn’t define who you are as a person..its just on the outside. Who you are inside makes much more of a difference than what you look like. I understand what its like to feel insecure about yoruself and how you look and everything, but goign to extremes like that for weight loss just isnt advisable…

If you really are concerned with your weight, then maybe you should speak to a doctor about healthy diets, and maybe he or she can suggest something to you.

I’m sorry if anything I said was offensive, that’s not how it was intended, it is jsut my personal opinion. Maybe google Bhulimia or anorexia or other eating disorders and you’ll be able to see just how bad they are.

Hey Kavita, I once saw a programme on television in which they showed a girl who was anorexic, she had turned sooo weak because she’d been throwing up all her food and hardly ate anything. So if you want to know, does it make you thinner? Yes it does, but not only will you lose weight, you will also lose your will to live life and even the ability to live normally. Because eventually, all you can think about is the next time you will have to eat and how you will hide from the rest of your family and friends that you’ve thrown it up. And it’ll also drain all the energy out of you, you’ll become extremely weak… and i don’t think that it won’t hurt then, I remember a few years ago, I was really ill..all feverish n stuff and felt really weak and I couldnt stop throwing up, and it just hurt soo much.. what would it be like then if you already were so weak but you force yourself to do that, coz else you’ll get ‘fat’..

And yes I know, you’re just being curious, you’re not considerin it yourself and I think that that’s a good thing, knowing about these kinds of things, cause ya can’t face the dangers of the world if you don’t know what they are. And if you dó know, then you’ll stand much stronger against it and be able to resist them.

Um I’m sorry but this all does sound incredibly idiotic to me. I can totally understand where you’re coming from in the want to be skinny and everything…I think most girls feel the same way and aren’t happy with how they look and everything like that. I’m no different…I’m sure everyone has felt fat or ugly or something like that at one point in their lives…But to put yourself in danger for it, is just plain stupid. Especially when you’ve seen stuff on disorders and have us telling you the effects of it. For one thing, I don’t think it even works after doing it just once or twice…and for another, once you’re doing it its going to be so much harder to stop. You’re saying once or twice or a few times now, but you’re just going to keep saying that once u get into it. “After I lose 5 lbs, after I lose 10 lbs…” It is just going to get worse. Bulimia, anorexia and the other eating disorders are ALL bad and dangerous…one isn’t better than the other. Even if you do it just once. Think about it…we need to give our bodies nutrients to survive and get everything necessary to be healthy but if you’re vomiting that back out then your body isn’t getting what it needs…so like Heera said, you’re going to be weak. Kavita – I tried to post something on the Bullimia topic too but I couldnt send it for some stupid reason my net must have been playing up. I’m glad you are off that idea, shereena posted some really good info, ive seen this stuff in magazines and on TV. It is terrible and there is no point to it. If you want to lose weight then you’ll have to do it the natural and proper way, which i’m afraid to say IS a healthy diet and regular exercise.

I understand that you’re a comfort eater, lol I was one too, (kinda still can b) but at the end of the day that line that goes “a moment on the lips means a lifetime on the hips” is so true. You have to think of the long run, yeah loadsa chocolate seems like the perfect thing sometimes, but will it really make problems go away? No.

Infact, Ive found that regular exercise and a better diet makes me more happier. Im not really overly concerned with my weight, I think im OK, but I wasnt getting much exercise and especially now that uni is over for the year. I’m going gym three times a week with a friend. If you want motiviation then go with a friend, working out together helps, you can support each other. Ive also joined aerobic classes once a week in the evenings, its meant to like burn 350 calories but I guess it also depends on how much effort you put in. I also joined Salsa class, infact I just went today lol. Its a good class if your looking for a bit of a laugh but it didnt get my heart beating that fast, and I didnt even drink my bottle of water! You should be getting like about 4 hours of exercise a week or more if you can. I understand that you may have college or other stuff going on, but make sure that you take time out for yourself, because no one will care for your appearance as much as you will. You could also try pilates which is meant to be extremely good for you, I havn’t tried that yet, but I want to. I’m going to start Water Aerobics soon too, hopefully!. I can see a difference in myself, I am much more active now – and I need to be during the crazy heat wave that is going through London at the moment! Anyway, my point is that you CAN do it, you just need to force yourself, stop looking for motivation from others, and be your OWN motivation. Think about the way you look and the way you want to look. Then try and achieve that. Don’t expect immediate results. The best weight lost is gradual, otherwise you crave food and end up going on a food binge and putting on even more weight.

A diet change always helps. Drink plenty of water. Atleast 2 litres a day if you can. Don’t eat chips (we call them crisps), no chocolate, fried food and especially no fizzy drinks or juices with lots of sugars!!!!!. If you do eat fried food then make sure you use Olive oil because its the most healthy, but even use that in moderation because it is afterall, oil. Eat more vegetables, they are now emphasizing that you should eat five portions of veggie a day, it helps you in so many ways and can also keep away illnesses such as cancer. Make sure you keep a calorie controlled diet. Make sure you also get iron and protien in your diet so you dont become weak. Im trying meat alternatives, they are called Quorn Food. Ive looked on their website for you and you do get it in America too, so im posting you the link for the US website:

I’ve been at work almost everyday and when I come back home it’s either that I’m not allowed to go on my pc, or I’m tired or we’re going somewhere… And I still have lotsa lotsa things to do before uni starts.. so I’m really bizzy whaaaa!! Imma go to uni from the 4th of September I came back on saturday and mann..the kitchentable was STACKED with letters from uni and the scholarship-people..(here almost everyone gets a scholarship, which you have to pay back if you dont finish your studies in a certain amount of time) so i was going NUTS.. and i’m getting really nervous now, coz i know that i have 3 old classmates of mine, but none of them were real friends of mine. My friends Nazish, Dina & Shugi (who knew for sure that they wanted to do ‘Medicines’, unlike me, I left it to my kismat) didn’t get in and I did..But I’m not even sure if i’ll be seeing those 3 old classmates, coz there will be about 400 first years for this course and we already got placed in groups.. And the uni’s soooo darn big and..how am I ever gonna find everything???

But well.. I guess..that i’ll be able to do it, rite? I mean, ur going to uni and over here others are going there too..I gotta be able to do it..It’s just like going to high-school all over again, only it’s a lot bigger and i have a lot more paperwork…

Ohhh and India was great!! I luvved it, just like I always do But this year I found out that my one-year-old niece is the cutest girl I’ve ever seen, and she always gets what she wants, even if she has to pull her cousins’ hair to get it hahahaha.. Now THAT’S the way the girls should be.. not letting the guys run them over (and believe me, 5 guys against one lil girl..woow!) hope to talk to ya soon on msn! *If i ever get the time to get online…*
