love between parents and children CHANGES with time… it isn't the same love u experienced when u were 3, for example… and it wont be the same love u will experience when ur 30… loe is still love at the end of the day, and a beautiful, sacred emotion that needs to be felt… but i think it changes… after you die, goodness knows what the love will be like…?

I don't agree. To an extent, it's true. But someone who has just fallen in love might think that way. Someone who cares only about loving. But mostly, someone who has a hint that the person they are loving, also loves them back.

I may be wrong, or it may be just my opinion…but when you fall in love, yes, it is a beautiful feeling, but if the person u love doesn't return your feelings, it hurts. This doesn't mean your love lessens. Not at all. In fact, it may make it stronger.

I was with some people recently, whom I was not very close with – and I could feel myself being restricted… wanting to say things which I would gladly have said to my friends, but which I could not… not because I was worried of making a fool of myself (heck no. lol. They already know that!).. but because they wouldn't understand, and the response they would give would be so stale, I thought it pointless of trying any further. I tried, and then I gave up… sometimes, going with the flow can sometimes be just the thing you want to do… and you don't know how much I wished my friends were with me… so I could be free, be myself happily…

There are very few people in the world I can be completely open with. In fact, I doubt there is anyone in my life I am 100% open with, but a lot of people come close… when we were discussing about Love and religion and all the other things we discussed in this topic, I was going out of my mind… I was desperate to burst with a million and one things to say regarding my thoughts – NEVER aimed at any one person, but in general – but I didn't do so fully here.. (yep what I posted was not “full”… sigh!) and there were a couple of people in my life, whom I just told a lot of things (still not 100%) that I had really wanted to say on here to, and they just listened. And listened. And argued, told me off for being rude, disagreed with me, the works… but the best thing was, instead of getting hurt or annoyed or offended or whatever, they were open with me, and I with them. They listened to me ramble on and on, expletives thrown in at times… and I can't explain how grateful I am for that… I could actually feel… relief? I don't know what to call it – free? Just talking and talking to them… glad to get it out of me.

Boo, I can completely relate with what you said. Having started uni and meeting new people, I found that it was so difficult to be myself in front of all these new people. It's getting better now as the days gone on, coming to the end of the second year now. I think that's what's great about old friends, you can be yourself and they won't judge you. A Walk To Remember is a book written by Nicholas Sparks, and in 2002 a movie was made on it starring Shane West and Mandy Moore. I watched this film last summer and I cannot tell you in how many ways it touched my heart. I have not had a chance to finish the book cuz of uni work but am saving it for the summer. I could go on and on about it so I'll just post the summary of the movie I found on the net 🙂

Each Spring in the little port town of Beaufort, North Carolina, when the wind smells of pine and salt and the sea, Landon Carter remembers his senior year at Beaufort High and Jamie Sullivan, the girl who changed his life.

Jamie was the last person Landon was likely to fall for. Serious and conservative, she was as far from cool as she could possibly be, and didn't care. The daughter of the town's Baptist minister, Jamie was not afraid of letting people know that her faith was the most important part of her life, even if it cost her some friends. Landon hung with the in-crowd — an aimless, moody, reckless guy who breezed through school on looks and bravado. He had no plans, no future and no faith in himself.

One night a prank that he and his buddies set up goes terribly wrong and lands a kid in the hospital. As punishment, Landon must tutor a young student at a poor school and participate in the Drama Club's Spring play ­ two activities the principal hopes will teach him some humility. They also happen to throw him into close contact with Jamie. Clearly in over his head, Landon is forced to ask her for help.

I agree with you though, the last bit, no pretences, nothing. Which is all a girl wants, really. I need a guy who can handle me though, I can have a temper sometimes, but the good thing is, I come out of a bad mood very quickly. Sometimes when Im in a bad mood with my dad all he has to do is pull a funny face and Im laughing again. However, when Im moody, I need someone who won't give up on me and walk away…. I think it does boo, but i think it changes its appearance as the relationship develops. For example, to starts off as friendship and then changes and becomes deeper- more than just friendship and then so on, but the basic essence of it does last- depending on how much faith both have on their love. If you question or doubt it, you werent sure from the beginning if you are right in being involved in the first place. I think that love is like a tree- you can enjoy the fruits, the flowers and the shade- but as soon as you try to dig deeper and find its roots, the tree becomes week and begins to die. I guess one has to believe in the fruits, flowers and shade the tree gives, and by looking at them determine that the roots ARE strong and not doubt it. (?)
