How about these........

Meri bheegi bheegi si palko pe rah gaye, jaise mere sapne bikharke....Jale man tera bhi kisi ke milan ko anaamika tu bhi tarse....(angry song)

Ye shaam mastaani...madhosh kiye jaay. Mujhe door koi kheeche teri or liye jaay.(romantic)

Kya se kya ho gaya bewafa...tere pyaar mein! Chaha kya... kya mila..bewafa...(sad *** angry)

Ghunghuroo ki tarha...bajta hi raha hoo mein...kabhi is pag mein kabhi us pag mein bandhta hi rahaa hu mein...(Sad)

Jane kaha mera jigar gaya ji? Abhi abhi yahi tha kidhar gaya ji? (happy and cute)

Koi jab tumhaara hriday tod de tadapta hua jab koi chod de...tab tum mere pas aana priye...mera dil khula hai khula hi rahega tumhare liye...(sad)

Kabhi na kabhi, kahi na kahi, koi na koi to aayega. Apna mujhe banayega....(sad)

I cud just go on and on.....

Loverofmusic, I can relate to some of these songs, a couple can be regarded as favs of mine, that is

(1) Meri bheegi bheegi si palko pe rah gaye
(2) Ye shaam mastaani...madhosh kiye jaay
(3) Kya se kya ho gaya bewafa.
(4) Ghunghuroo ki tarha...bajta hi raha hoo mein
(5) Jane kaha mera jigar gaya ji
(6) Koi jab tumhaara hriday tod de        *only Mukeshji could have sung this one with so much emotion

I played the harmoonium, mandolin, grapple with guitar a little bit, but the gift of a singing voice never came my way, as a matter of fact if you listen to me you will pelt me with anything nearby.

A couple years ago there was this movie "Dil Vil Pyar Pyar" if you can get the dvd to listen to, there are some nostalgic oldies.

So Loverofmusic do you sing like in a group/band

Wow wow wow! U have given almost a complete biodata of Yesudas!!! Im amazed!!!!

Well the song 'beete na bitayi raina' is from the film parichay staring Jitendra and Jaya. It has got lots of songs...there is another semi classical piece by Bhupinder alone. The film is actually an Indianised adaptation of 'Sound of music'. 'Beete na bitaayi is a duet by Latha and Bhupinder.

As for why they (Bhupinder and Yesudas) left Hindi film music field.... I think the Hindi belt is not that keen on non Hindi speaking singers...Yesudas is from South India and Bhupinder is from the North East...Bhupinder's accent etc is excellent, perfect. But as far as yesudas is concerned, tho he has put up a good effort, its rather funny. But his singing talents are just unmatchable!

So u r not a cla$sical music fan! Well, 2day morning on the way to office i was listening to a Rafi collection... what is ur opinion of 'Madhuban mein radhika nache re...girdhar ki muraliya baaje re'... it is a semi classical number of Rafi saab.

Well, I was part of a troup once upon a time...when it interfered with my studies, Dad made me quit. Our whole family is crazy bout music. Its a family of 'lovers of music'Smile.

How bout u? R u part of a music troop? U have to be a South Indian to know so much about Yesudas....

Thats somemore I 've learn't about Yesudas and Bhupinder, I can understand Bhupinder's being from the North, would speak perfect Hindi/Urdu and his language would seemed acceptable and as perfect flowing to the Northern Indian. What are the language of the Southern Indian? Do they still uses Sanscrit in India?.......reason for asking this, is  recently I have listened to a song by Jagjit Singh, a bhajan  titled "Hey jag trata" and it blew my socks away. Could not understand the meaning. I think that certain sect of Brahmhin still uses Sanscrit.
Betay Na Beta ay Raina..............Lata and Bhupinder, listend to recently after a long time, seems refreshing, but the one to hold my attention was this duet with Rafi and Bhupinder "Dharam Kanta"
http://www.musicindiaonline.com/p/x/5Jpm2Yo8ES.As1NMvHdW/

Guess your dad was perfectly right to make you quit to continue your studies, this should be the most important  thing in your life right now...........there is always a time for singing, someday you are going to say "Thank You Dad"
Do not have the time to be in a group right now, have friends who encourages me,  but I guess the interest  is not there.

Will tell you about those light classical, and other classicals by Manna Dey later.

L&LOL! Abdool ji! Which part of the world are u from!? Jus curious!

Im sure u r either joking or pulling my leg in asking about languages of South India....SurpriseHowever, at least for the sake of those who dont know...lemme enlighten....Smile

The main languages of South India are Kannad, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Yesudas is basically a malayali but he has sung in all the South Indian langs. There is another singer from South who has put in quite a few songs in Hindi-S P Balasubrahmanyam. His debut was 'ek duje ke liye' i think. His pronounciation is good...tho the tone/accent is slightly Tamilish. There is another lady from South who has perfect Hindi accent. Her name is Vani Jayaram (tho i dont know wher exactly from South she is). She sang the famous semi cla$sical number in 'Guddi'...'Bole re papee hara papee hara'.

Bhupinder is not exactly from the North but from North East(Assam or Orissa). Oh I just love his way of singing...I love his nasal voice. Im a real great fan of his.

As for Yesudas....tho his accent may sound funny to Hindi speaking people, Malayalis are of the opinion that his accent is perfect. Whatever said and done, he has put up a real good effort to make it as perfect as he can. And i guess he has taken the pain to understand every word of what he sang so as to bring in the right emotions...'Zid na karo, ab to ruko...ye raat nahi aayegi' is a good example for that.

These are my personal views/opinions, ok. And i wud love to know ur views, Abdoolji.

Loverji, a lesson to the now generation "listening to parents" is quite important and should be a part of everyday's education. Too bad that when kids are away from parental sights, things can go haywire. But I guess that trusts and parental guidance plays a great part in the way kids are moulded.

You are a working person just like me, I do not know if I am younger or older than you, but there is mutual respects.........thats what counts.

Gosh! I really missed our lkkle chit chat with loverofmucic, my last communications with loverji, was about couple months ago when she was able to logged on but could not have posted, email was sent to Mukeshji, but did not followup, browsing through the forum, now I wished that I had sent a followup to the Admin.

Guys if there is anything can be done to fix Loverofmusic problems......will appreciate, maybe just to continue this narrative on music, she is so much learned in Music.

I remember that loverji was telling me, one time when she was in a singing competition, and she blew away the rest, to become the Numero uno, unfinished conversation,

Admin your help in fixing loverofmusic connections to the forum will be appreciated.
